Boathouse Park in the Capitol Riverfront along the Anacostia River offers a variety of fun activities this summer. See D.C.’s historic Navy Yard from the water, or paddle past the U.S. Capitol, USS Barry, or Fort McNear. You can even hear the roar of the ballpark as you approach Nationals Stadium.
Nearby Yards Park is a relaxing spot with beautiful green space and the occasional concert or vendor. Watch a concert right from the water, or dock your vessel and get an ice cream in the park. You can also take a guided 90-minute twilight tour for a unique look at the Anacostia River’s historic views from the comfort of a kayak. Kayaks and canoes are available to rent, and kayaking orientation is available for those who aren't as experienced. No matter what you choose to do at Boathouse Park, it's a great place for some summer fun.
