From July 13th through August 19th at Arena Stage, come enjoy the world-premiere of the musical comedy, Dave, adapted from the 1993 Oscar-nominated film. The story follows Dave Kovic, a presidential lookalike who is hired by the Secret Service as a stand-in for the Commander-in-Chief. When the president falls into a coma, Dave is thrust into the White House, causing an interesting chain of events. Not only does the show offer a hilarious critique of our current political state of affairs, but it also offers a compelling love story. The production is headed by a Tony and Pulitzer Prize award-winning team, including Thomas Meehan, Nell Benjamin, and Tom Kitt.
Tickets generally range from about $140 to $176 and can be purchased via the Arena Stage website or the sales office. Dave runs approximately two hours and 40 minutes with one intermission. Parking is available and you may reserve a spot in advance for $20 per parking space. Any parking available on the day of the performance will be sold at the garage on a first-come, first-served basis for $24. The Waterfront Metrorail station is also located one block east of Arena Stage.
