On September 21 the popular H Street Festival returns to DC, with expected attendance topping 150,000. Featuring 14 different stages along 11 blocks of H Street, this festival is one of the neighborhood’s most anticipated annual arts events. The celebration begins at 11 am, with interactive children’s booths and play areas, as well as dance performances, live music, poetry readings, fashion shows, and more. As the day continues, be sure to explore more than a hundred vendor booths that line the street, selling everything from hand-made jewelry and whimsical antiques to dog toys and home decor. You’ll also find plenty of artist booths, where you can purchase original works of art, and in some cases even observe the artist at work.
When you start to feel hungry, you’ll have plenty of options, ranging from sidewalk seating at restaurants along the festival corridor, to food trucks selling hot dogs, tacos, ice cream, and more.
